The Milesight SC211-AU is a purpose-built traffic sensing camera for locations where running power and network cabling is difficult or impractical. Combining 4G LTE connectivity, solar-ready power, an integrated battery, 24GHz radar and AI-powered vehicle detection, it provides a flexible solution for remote and temporary traffic monitoring.
Instead of relying on fixed network infrastructure, the SC211-AU uses radar-triggered vehicle capture and a low-power operating design to detect approaching vehicles and quickly capture evidence. With a capture rate of up to 98%, support for two lanes up to 8m wide and up to 25m nighttime illumination with the 16mm lens, it is designed for practical roadside and traffic sensing applications.
The built-in 4G LTE and Wi-Fi connectivity make configuration and data transmission straightforward, while MQTT and HTTP support allows integration with third-party platforms. The SC211-AU is particularly useful for remote roads, temporary traffic monitoring, roadworks, parking areas and smart city projects where a conventional wired camera installation is not practical.

Wireless Traffic Monitoring Without Fixed Infrastructure
The SC211-AU is designed for deployments where traditional wired infrastructure is not readily available. Its 4G LTE connection provides wireless data transmission, while the camera’s low-power design and integrated battery support standalone operation with a suitable solar power source.
The camera normally operates in a low-power detection state. When a vehicle approaches, the 24GHz radar triggers the camera to start quickly and capture vehicle images. This approach helps reduce power consumption while providing reliable vehicle capture for traffic monitoring applications.
