Russound ALT-126R Impedance Matching Volume Control
The Russound ALT-126R is a premium in-wall impedance matching volume control designed for multi-room audio systems. Built around Russound’s proven UltraMatch™ autoformer technology, it allows independent volume adjustment in individual rooms while protecting the amplifier from excessive speaker loads.
Unlike conventional volume controls, the ALT-126R features selectable impedance matching (1X, 2X, 4X or 8X), making it ideal for installations with multiple speaker pairs connected to a single amplifier or receiver. This eliminates the need for additional speaker selectors in many applications while maintaining excellent sound quality and amplifier stability.
The front-access impedance selector makes system configuration fast and simple, while the removable screw-down terminals accept speaker cable up to 12 AWG for secure and reliable installation.
