6-Zone Audio Distribution at a Refined Restaurant and Whiskey Lounge

The owners of Winchester & Rye Restaurant had a long history in the restaurant and bar business, previously running a popular establishment at a nearby private country club. They recognised a need for a local watering hole featuring great food, a friendly and inviting atmosphere, and a whiskey bar with great ambiance and custom cocktails.

Winchester and Rye quickly became a local favorite to residents and surrounding communities. The Coffee Chili Rubbed Filet, Yummy Bowl of Goodness past dish and wood-fired Pizzas promptly created a buzz and drew a regular flood of repeat customers. Additionally, the excellent staff and leadership of the restaurant create a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere for guests to enjoy.

Although the food, drinks, and service in the restaurant were exceptional, they realized the fact that the entertainment in the restaurant was not on a level they would expect to deliver to their visitors, with music often cutting out, stalling, or crackling for their valued guests. They decided to invest in updating the system to elevate the quality of music and entertainment for their fine establishment.

Contacting their national Russound distributors, they asked for advice. They were put in contact with their local Russound installer who advised on a new System. The old Distributed audio system included:

6 pairs of flush-mounted ceiling speakers through the Restaurant, Pizza Bar and Whiskey Bar, a two-channel Amplifier and basic audio Matrix switcher. Streaming Audio was delivered to the rack via Bluetooth from a local iPad.

The Russound installer removed the existing two-channel amplifier and Audio Matrix Switcher. As a replacement, they specified and installed a Russound MCA-66 6 zone Audio Matrix and Multi-channel Amplifier/controller and a Russound MBX-PRE Audio Streaming Source device.

The entire Audio Distribution and Streaming Audio are managed with the new Russound App.

They were overjoyed with the audio quality being delivered through the restaurant and bars now. Each zone is tuned to the acoustics and unique characteristics of the areas of the restaurant, delivering exceptional audio quality to their guests.

Previously, 3 different apps were used to navigate the streaming audio, source routing, and volume levels for the areas in the establishment, now control of volumes, source routing, and streaming music are seamlessly and easily navigated and managed through the Russound App.

The owners and staff were trained to navigate the new Russound system within 15 minutes.
